OPERATION P.L.U.S.H.

A 1 - 4 player Co-op Hack-and-Slash Top-Down Horde Defender.

As night overtakes day and sleep takes hold, a force awakens from the darkness. A horde of nightmares, creatures of darkness, comes to invade the precious dreams of children.

Take control of a group of plushies as they drive back the onslaught of evil invaders as they try to snuff out the comforting nightlight and cause despair among the sleeping denizens.

Use the powers of dream to conjure up powerful abilities and construct powerful structures to help defend the nightlight. Call in allies to help you hold the line.

Timeline

I worked on getting the local and online multiplayer working in the project as well as getting Steam’s online servers integrated. Players can join in the lobby from different computers through LAN or by using multiple controllers with the same computer at the same time.

I also made concept art and initial pitch designs for some of the player characters and their artstyle.

For this sprint, I worked on rebuilding the gamemode and game state to C++ in order to make the game easier to structure for multiplayer and to organize a lot of the structure for ease of updating. I also worked on getting Shorky’s animation into the gameplay. I also made our character selection look cleaner.

For this sprint, I worked getting more of our placements implemented for the test build and making sure bugs were fixed for multiplayer. We had a small issue where players spawned with the incorrect models that I fixed. At the end of the sprint, we now have 4 player character select, the clock man placement and the music box placement ready to be reviewed. I also worked on simple ability bugs and testing.

For this sprint, I created concept art for Character Select, Main Menu and Combat UI. I will be working on implementing these as scratch work for the build. I will be testing these for multiplayer replication after implementation.

For this sprint, I focused on polishing the online multiplayer and making sure any bugs were fixed for smooth travel. We had a small replication issue during UI that stopped our players from playing the game that I fixed, so now players will see the same views when they play online. I also made sure we had a server finder, so players can find specific lobbies they want to go to.

I am also making a new 3D main menu screen.
